The 2019 Sale-A-Bration event has started

I’m excited to share that the 2019 Sale-A-Bration event (3 Jan to 31 March) has started. What’s more, the 2019 Spring/Summer catalogue (3 Jan to 2 June) is now also live.

If you haven’t already seen the catalogues, click on the following and download a pdf copy to your iPad, laptop etc.

  2019 Sale-A-Bration event has started

Copies of both catalogues went in the mail to customers on my mailing list just before Christmas. If you haven’t received yours or are not on my mailing list and don’t already have a UK Stampin’ Up! demonstrator drop me an email with your details and I’ll post them to you for free.

Full details of the 2019 Sale-A-Bration offering –

  • TWO fabulous joining offers which include an additional  £40 worth of product on top of the normal £130 (which is already the best deal in the catalogue),
  • FREE items for a £45 or £90 spend, and
  • ADDITIONAL rewards for hosting a party

can be found by clicking HERE or the page link at the top of this blog.

I have over the past couple of days been making a few cards using the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Here are pictures of a couple of them.

I used Thick Whisper White cardstock as the base for both cards. The top card has a Lemon Lime Twist panel and the one below has Daffodil Delight.

Both sentiments are made up from individual stamps from the new Well Said stamp set (page 27 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue). There are coordinating dies too but

I’ll be sharing the instructions for both these cards in my newsletter that will be going out later today. There’s still time to sign up for it by completing the form in the right-hand side bar.

I love this paper and have lots more ideas for projects to make so I am sure that I will be posting more ideas.

In the meantime, don’t forget to sign up for my newsletters.

Happy stamping.

Butterfly Gala - stepped up from Simple Stamping

On Saturday I shared my Butterfly Gala simple stamping card and promised to share the stepped up versions. These are for those of you who want to take things to the next step, but it also allows beginner stampers to see what can be achieved with a few added extras.

The first card is for some one who wants to use a little more than just a stamp set and ink pad. It takes a little longer to make than the simple stamping version but not excessively so.

Butterfly Gala for someone who wants to add more

For this card I –

  • Coordinated the Highland Heather ink with the Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (cut to 2.0 x 6.0 cm).
  • Added some cardstock (cut to 1.5 x 5.5 cm) in the same colour.
  • Placed a rhinestone in the centre of each of the butterflies.
  • Glued the paper and stamp cardstock direct to the card front but you could easily use some Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some interest.

The second card looks like this.

For this Butterfly Gala card, I

  • Stamped the butterfly images (it’s one stamp) as per the previous card and then stamped them again twice (re-inking in between) onto some scrap Whisper White cardstock. The bodies for each of the butterflies were also stamped onto each.
  • Punched out the butterflies. The punch lines up exactly with the stamped images so it punches out both butterflies at the some time. Quick and simple, no fussy cutting required.
  • Used a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine. I split it into three to form the wispy threads beneath the sentiment.
  • Adhered the larger punched butterfly (glue just the body) over the image on the card front and also added the smaller butterfly in the same way.
  • Added the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Obviously, this is the card that took the longest time to make but it still took no more than 15 minutes.

The Butterfly Gala stamp set and bundle along with the Gingham Gala stamp set will be available from my Online store starting on 3 January. Details of the other items used can be found at the end of this post.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and lots of happy stamping in the year to come.

2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue Paper Share

I love the Stampin’ Up! double sided paper and confess to be an avid collector (hoarder is probably a better description). I know that you guys love it too, but over the past years I have heard people say at classes or events  “oh I wish I had seen that paper in person, it’s so much nicer than the picture in the catalogue”, not that the picture is bad. Or, I’ve heard other people say “I just love the paper but don’t want that many sheets of the same thing”. The upcoming 2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue contains details of seven new fabulous paper packs. And, in addition to this, there is an additional pack in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.   With so many new packs on offer and bearing the above comments in mind, I have decided to offer a paper share.

Paper Share 2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue - register your interest now

The paper share will be made up of

  • 94 sheets of double sided or vellum paper.
  • All of the paper will be cut to 6″ x 6″ size.
  • It will include paper from all seven packs plus the Sale-A-Bration pack.

Paper Share contents

Each paper share will contain the following –

  • All My Love (page 5) – 2 each of the 6 different sheets. This paper is not just for Valentines but would be great for weddings, birthdays and other occasions (12 sheets in total).

  • Classic Garage (page 43) – 2 each of 12 different sheets. Perfect for men or anyone who loves cars, gears or nuts & bolts. Cut out the images by hand or use the co-ordinating Garage Gears Thinlits Dies found on page 43 . (24 sheets in total)

There are butterflies that can be punched out using the co-ordinating Butterfly Duet Punch found on page 35 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue so no need to fussy cut. (6 sheets in total)

Wow, my maths is right, that’s 94 6″ x 6″ sheets in total.

You can register for more that one pack.

Timescales for the Paper Share

Big news from OnStage - Cling Stamps and must have bags & totes

There were three pieces of exciting big news that we heard at Onstage. And, because the spoiler alert for this OnStage has been lifted so I can share everything with you now.

Cling Stamps

Starting with the 2019 Spring/Summer Catalogue, all future catalogues will only feature Cling and Photopolymer stamps.  No more new wood mount stamp sets. We have been asking for cling stamps for ages and Stampin’ Up! have listened to us and delivered. YAY.

big news from onstage

Cling stamps will still feature the same high quality red rubber that we are used to, but will in future come with highly adhesive labels. This means you don’t need to worry that the stamp will move around on your clear block or even fall off.

I received a couple of cling stamp sets at OnStage and will be sharing how to mount and care for them in a Facebook live on Monday, 19 November at 10.00 am. The event will be recorded and available on the Facebook Page if you are not able to watch live.

Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag

The Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag will be available from 5 December. This is a great way to keep your Stamparatus and accessories in one place and is handy if you are going to classes or to a friend’s house to craft.

I have pre-ordered a bag and will be sharing more details about it as soon as I am able.

Last but not least, Stampin’ Up! also gave us information about Sale-A-Bration and an exclusive tote that will be available as part of one of the joining options.

Craft & Carry Tote

The great news is that you can get the tote now as part of your starter kit (subject to availability) if you join before Sale-A-Bration starts (3 Jan 2019).

Once Sale-a-Bration starts you will only be able to obtain it as part of the Option 2 joining offer.

As you can see, there are lots of exciting things happening. I can’t wait to share the big news from OnStage in more detail with you.

Happy stamping.

Acorns in Florida - We made it to OnStage Live ( Days 1 to 3)

Acorns in Florida – Part 1 (Days 1 to 3)

We made it to Orlando this past Monday. The long flight, long lines at immigration, and then a drive in the dark with seven passengers made for an interesting and very long day (about 18 hours). Some of the team are totally overwhelmed by the vastness of the place (and the huge choice of food and drinks on menus) and the weather (hot and really humid). Everyday so far has been bad hair day for me!!

Day 1

Tuesday was spent visiting all the various craft stores that everyone wanted to visit – Michaels, Joann’s and Hobby Lobby. I’ve never been to a Hobby Lobby and was totally overwhelmed by it!

We made it to OnStage Live in Florida safe and sound
Michaels – the first port of call on Day 2

Day 2

The day started with bag pick-up. Not too early in the morning though.  This was just as well because the SatNav sent us on a huge circle which added a few miles to our journey from the villa to the Convention Centre.

In the afternoon some of the team went to Epcot and the others to Disney Springs. Epcot is where Stampin’ Up! held their evening CentreStage event for top demonstrators. The evening was filled with karaoke and desserts. Sara Douglass made one announcement and I’ll be posting details of the announcement very soon.

I was glad to fall into my bed at midnight, but not before I finished my fancy fold swaps!

Day 3

Wednesday started bright and early.  This was just as well because the traffic from our villa to the Convention Center was a bit of a nightmare. The day was pretty full on – swaps, catalogues handed out, four prize patrols, all attendee giveaways, business talks, product spotlights, Shelli and others stamping and of course a couple of make n takes.

The Acorns with their Spring/Summer Catalogues. Oh what to choose for pre-order?

Check back soon to see the Make n Takes.

Happy stamping.
