Swaps from Telford

One of the best parts of Regional Training is meeting and swapping with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  Some people seemed to have made hundreds but I stuck to 30 because I don't have anywhere to put more than that.

People make and share all sorts of amazing ideas. Cards, boxes, display items and all sorts of other things.

While I was in the USA I started (but didn't quite finish) my swaps. In the end I made 30 but lost one to a friend so I only took 29 to Telford with me.

Here's what the 29 looked like.

In case you hadn't guessed, they are bookmarks. I used extra large paper clips and a hot glue gun to stick the layers together and make sure that the thing would not fall apart. I even stamped on the circle that was stuck on the back to hide everything.

I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the little holders - if you fold the top down it will make a cute envelope.

It seems that a lot of other people had the bookmark idea and here are some of the ones that I received in return.

L to R. Natasha Hart, Tracy Breeze, Adrienne Dimon

All three feature the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, and the two of them also used the Petite Petals stamp set and punch.

I have loads more swaps to share on another day, but just thought that I should update you with the Cards for Keeps eBay auction. The auction ended as we were driving up to Telford and we stopped at the Warwick services to make use of the internet at a well known coffee chain. Pip had been bidding on a couple and I had been bidding on one. I didn't win mine but Pip was lucky to have the winning bid for the one by Liza Tarbuck.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the auction and well done to those who had the winning bid.  It was announced at Telford that the fantastic sum of £8578.47 was raised for the charity Coram. Not bad for bunch of cards made by various celebrities.

What a fun day

Thank you to everyone who came to yesterday's event.  The diehards who stayed for a little more crafting and take-a-way left at about 10.00 pm! Someone even suggested we have a pyjama party and do a 24 hour craft-a-thon.

The whole day was based around the Petite Petals Bundle - stamp and co-ordinating punch. There were four themes using the Fresh Print Paper Stack,  and the Retro Fresh,  Watercolor Wonder and Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper.

I can't make up my mind as to which of the DSP packs from the Spring/Summer Catalogue that I like the most, but in terms of value the Fresh Prints can't be beaten. There are 48 sheets (4 each of 12 designs) of double sided sheets measuring 11.4 cm x 16.5 cm (4.5 " x 6.5" ) for only £6.25.

I love making these file folder cards using the Envelope Punch Board. The next card has a closure made using one of the Tag Topper Punches. You can use both punches to give slightly different looks.  The Scallop Tag Topper was being used on a different project so I used the Angled Tag Topper Punch on this one.

I had a really fun day although I have to admit that my feet are hurting a little this morning. Today's plan is to relax once I've finished doing the tidying up. This means picking up all bits of backing from the red sticky strip and dimensionals that have travelled around the house. It never ceases to amaze me how they get about.

The above are only a couple of the projects from yesterday. I plan to share a couple more in my next post.
