Sorting out the blog

I'm currently in the process of re-vamping my blog. In my attempt to move away from my previous web-site host the photos seem to have gone a little awry.

Please bear with me as I find and add back the relevant photos (plus links to Pinterest). This will take some time. I'll be starting with the most recent.

Nests of Winter with four cards from one kit

I used the Nests of Winter suite of products at the most recent Card & A Cuppa events. The suite is one of the collections in the new Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! The same kit is given to all those who attend, and I made three samples beforehand. The fourth card was made during a Facebook live.

The kit always includes double-sided paper plus all the card stock needed to create a card. Occasionally, a die-cut or two are also included in the kit. Those attending the in person event get to use my stamps and ink. But, those who play long with the virtual session, need use their own stamps and ink since I’m not permitted to send stamped images in a kit.

The paper comes from the Nests of Winter 12″ x 12″ paper pack. You’ll find birds on five of the sheets. Individual printed birds can be fussy cut. But, there is one sheet of paper that can cut up and used as a card fronts.

Here’s the sheet of paper mentioned above and which I used. Simply cut the one sheet into 6 pieces for quick, simple and adorable card front.

I used both the frame and the inside portion to create the three cards taken to the event.

The cards have a Copper Clay card base, two pieces of the Nests of Winter paper (one for front and other for inside), and a die-cut piece of Copper Clay. The Copper Clay panel was die-cut using the large frame die from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies.

Check out all the cards in more detail and see how the fourth card was made on my YouTube Channel. The video description contains all the cutting instructions for the kit.

Finally, I hope you have enjoyed seeing the four Nests of Winter cards.

Happy stamping.

New For September - Reindeer Fun and other stuff

So, what’s new for September?

We start with the release of the Sept-Dec 2024 Mini Catalogue. The catalogue goes live on 4 September and I’ll post a link to it that day.

I was able to pre-order products from the catalogue. One of these is the Reindeer Fun Bundle. And, this week’s Stamping & Creating featured the bundle. Here’s the fun card that I made.

You can view the video on YouTube. Please note that the video description includes details of the cutting instructions for the card and also lists the new products used.

Another new for September is the Scrapbooking Brochure.

It’s been awhile since Stampin’ Up! have had any of the more traditional scrapbooking products. This all changes on 4 September with the introduction of the Scrapbooking Brochure. Click on the above image to see the brochure in detail. Please note that there will be no paper version of the brochure (unless you opt to print it for your own use).

New items in the brochure include –

  • Two tone 12″ x 12″ paper packs – these have a white core so are great for tearing. There are four colours available come 4 September but more are on the way.
  • New Willow White 12″ x 12″ paper packs. This replaces White Daisy which was a Close To My Heart colour (explanation in my video)
  • Stand alone kits, some of which co-ordinate with products in the new mini catalogue.
  • Stamps sets designed for scrapbookers but I can see them being used on cards and other projects too.

As mentioned above, more things are coming including albums and other supplies.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what’s new for September and don’t forget to check back on 4 Sept for the link to the new mini catalogue.

Happy stamping.
