And the Winner is...

Congratulations goes to

Hilary Cohen from Esher

Hilary has won the Prize Draw from the recent Creative Crafts Show that was at Sandown on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I will be taking all the goodies to Hilary once I get back from my trip to Florida. Florida? I hear you ask. Yep, I am really excited to be going to a Stampin' Up! Leadership event. This event is normally only open to US and Canadian demonstrators but this year demonstrators from Europe, Australia and New Zealand are also able to attend.

I have yet to start my swaps (photos will be posted later this week) so in the meantime here are some photos of the fabulous projects that were on the stand at Sandown.

These cards (above and the next two photos below) were made by a Stampin' Stars team mate. They are so pretty and use the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

The Butterfly Basics stamp set is the set that everyone attending February's All Day Craft Event will receive as part of their class fee. I would not presume to copy (there just might be one that I CASE) the cards for the event but the above are most certainly inspirational.

The bouquet comes as a kit and makes more flowers than this. I wanted a smaller bouquet as I only had a small vase but the full kit makes 25 flowers. The hot glue gun will be coming out once I get back from Florida and I will finish all the flowers and post a photo of the full bouquet.

Right then, I'd better crack on and get those swaps done.

I am taking part in two organised swaps. One is for a small 4" x 4" page to go in the So You Project Kit  album. There are some 24 European demonstrators taking part in this swap and I still need to find a photo of me that I like.

The other swap is taking place on the night that we arrive so here's hoping that our flight is on time. I need to make 27 of the same card front so at least I only have to design one and then replicate it. I think I might just be sticking things together on the plane though.

Friday Fun

Well, I sat down last night to write this latest post and realised that I'd not taken one photo of the stunning cards up on the stand. I promise to do better today and I will post them tomorrow.

I can however, share with you the cards that we have as the Make & Take class. These were made using the stunning Butterfly Basics stamp set along with the Artisan Embellishment Kit - both are in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

The Artisan Kit comes with 2 small doilies (not 4 as stated in the catalogue - printing error I'm afraid) along with some fabulous Blackberry Bliss Velvet Ribbon and some Rose Red Lacy Ribbon. These have been used on the card above along with some of the buttons, resin flowers and the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim.

The kit also contains two of these die cut frames - they are double sided (one side Whisper White and the other Sahara Sand).  Just as a point of reference, this second card is made from one of our Note Cards.

The last card was made using the fabulous Butterflies Thinlits Dies. This card has two on it. The first is cut from Whisper White card stock and is stuck flat to the card and the top one was cut from vellum. The whole thing is finished off with a large metal flower button (it's really cute as it has a rhinestone in the centre).

If you are going to the Sandown show today and fancy making these cards and receiving your own kit please feel free to book your spot at the Workshop Booking desk. We would love to see you.
