Random Act of Kindness (RAK) August blog hop
Welcome to the August Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Blog Hop. You are visiting me, Fiona Whitten, in the UK.
This month I’m sharing the card I received back in July along with the cards that I sent as part of the RAK group.
I was very lucky to receive a fabulous card all the way from Canada from Darlene Edvall.
Darlene made this card using the Falling Flowers stamp set and co-ordinating May Flowers Framelits. The sentiment comes from a retired hostess stamp set – Best Thoughts. I love the neutral colours that Darlene used.
In July I sent six cards that I had made using the Petal Garden Memories & More Card Pack.
I love this card pack – the images are beautiful and the colours in them co-ordinate with Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral and Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and ink.
Some of the cards already have a sentiment on them, but for those that didn’t I used the Bunch of Blossoms and Garden in Blooms stamp sets.

Just couldn't resist ...
I spotted the latest Global Design Project challenge and loved the colour combination, so thought I'd make a card even though I'm not entering it into the challenge (it's too late as they will be onto the next one by the time this posts). Maybe next time.
I did change my mind about how to add the flower(s) to the card front quite a few times and ended up with two spare ones that I'd coloured and die cut out. Rather than waste them, I glued one to the inside of the card and the other will be used to decorate the back of the envelope and will be adhered on like a seal when I'm ready to send the card.
I hope you like this colour combination as much as I do, and as always, please feel free to leave a comment.

If you are interested in making this card, these are the products I used. Please note that the stamp set and framelits are available separately, but the bundle saves you 10%.
