All Day Event including Swirly Bird stamp set

Time is running out to book onto July's All Day Event featuring the Swirly Bird stamp set. This is my last class before the summer break, but I am working on some exciting new things for the summer.

Either way, I have a fun filled day of crafting in store for all of those attending on 9 July.

As well as a fabulous 2 pocket box for you to make, there will be cards galore and of course what you don't use from your kit is yours to take home with you.

The day costs £45 and you will receive over £50 worth of Stampin' Up! products including the Swirly Bird photopolymer stamp set (page 152 of the catalogue).

Should you wish to order the co-ordinating Swirly Scribbles Dies (page 194 of the catalogue) at the same time, you can do so for an additional £19.25.

If you already have the Swirly Bird stamp set you can choose £23 worth (same value as the stamp set) of other Stampin' Up! products, but please bring your stamp set with you on the day. Please let me know by 24 June which items you would like as a substitute.

We will be using the new 2016-2018 In Colors for all the projects. If you don't have these but would like to finish off projects at home a further option for you to consider is to purchase the Uninked Stampin' Spots costing £8.25 (page 180 of the catalogue) and I will ink them up for you for £1.00 (20p per colour). Please let me know by 24 June if you would like to take up this option.

Please note that booking closes on 24 June and full payment is required by then.

If you are not able to attend but would like the kit (includes all the products and instructions from the day) then that can be arranged.

The kit costs £45 plus postage (unless you are able to collect). You also have the option to purchase the dies and the ink spots too please let me know and like those attending, full payment is required by 24 June.

So, don't delay because space is limited and I only have a few spots left.

Open House

I was so busy last Saturday at the Open House/ Catalogue Launch that I didn't have time to take photos of what actually went on during the event.  I did think, however, to take some photos before it started as I thought you might like to see them.

On the left of the board, stamp sets that have carried over. On the right new 2016-18 In Colors and samples using some of the new stamp sets and dies.

I found some painted crates in a florists wholesaler and thought that they would be great for displaying more of the cards and products.

On the top is Painter's Palette stamp set with the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack and on the bottom is one of the new Hostess Sets called Love You Lots.

This crate had products from the Affectionately Yours Suite - set of 2 embossing folders, stamp set, washi tape and some of the Designer Series Paper.

New In Colors. Have you figured out which is your favourite yet?

Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Dies. The stamp set is the one that will be included in the kit for 9 June All Day Event. I've yet to design the actual cards and boxes that will be made on the day but it is going to be a fun class with something for everyone. I have a few places left for the day and booking closes on 24 June so let me know if you are interested in attending.

Tomorrow is challenge day so don't forget to check back and see my project.

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #175

I'm a little bit early posting this as I was on a roll with my Swirly Birds stamp set and co-ordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.

When I saw this week's sketch I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Caro, who set the challenge said that so long as there were 5 elements of differing sizes (harder to do than you think) and that they are on a diagonal (also harder to do than you think as you need to fit all five in) then effectively it's good to go!

This is what I came up with.

I stamped the images and sentiment in two of the new In Colors - Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim. I also added a Whisper White swirl that I had cut out using the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.

The sentiment comes from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. This is a great new photopolymer set that has 53 stamps in it. You can make up multiple sentiments and what's more there are banners that you can also stamp.

Here's a side view so you can see that I did decorate the inside. No naked insides for me!

Check back tomorrow to see what else I've been trying out.
