Let's Celebrate with a Birthday Blog Hop

July is my birthday month so I’m celebrating by joining in the Crafty Collaborations Birthday Blog Hop.

Birthday Blog Hop

There are a few friends and family who actually share the same birthday as me, including my nephew. But, this blog hop is designed to celebrate and share birthday ideas in general. I hope you enjoy checking out all the ideas, and, you’ll find the links to those taking part further down this post.

I had my friend, Lorrie, in mind when I designed my card using the Les Shoppes 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. There was a fair bit of fussy cutting involved but I think she’s worth it.

Birthday Blog Hop - Les Shoppes Bendy Card

This Bendy Card is fun to make and is surprisingly easy. It starts as two pieces of card, cut to the same size. One is then cut on the short side so that one piece is wider than the other. You’ll find the basic cutting and scoring instructions below.

The great thing about the card is that when the two bendy front pieces are unlocked, the card will fit into a standard size envelope.

Using the Les Shoppes paper for some Stamping & Creating

The Les Shoppes paper was one of the packs I bought during the recent paper sale.

Les Shoppes

The 12 sheets (2 lots of 6 different double sided sheets) have really sweet images of shops, food, books and paint on one side. The other sides have patterns and houses to coordinate.

There is a bundle to go with the Les Shoppes paper called Let’s Go Shopping.

But I have yet to purchase it. Mind you, if you enjoy fussy cutting then the paper lends itself to some very cute cards. This is what I did for a recent Stamping & Creating facebook live.

These are the cards I designed and made prior to the live.

The only stamping on these Les Shoppes cards is a couple of sentiments. Both sentiments come from the Go To Greetings stamp set and I used them as the shop signs.

The forth card was made live and looks like this.

You can find the video on YouTube or view it here –
