In with the New, but Big News it's a Cross Over Day - Final Sneak Peek No. 9

Tomorrow is a big day, and I'm doing a happy dance because I will finally be able to post the link to the new Annual Catalogue.

I'm sure you know by now, that tomorrow is the release day for the 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue, but did you know that for tomorrow only you can also order from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue, the Spring/Summer Catalogue and the Retirement List? This mega option is only available tomorrow until 10.50 pm (UK time).

Other than the new Catalogue there is another piece of news to share with you for tomorrow. Anyone joining Stampin' Up! in June (from tomorrow ) will be able to choose 2 extra stamp sets (of any value) in addition to the normal £130 worth, and you still only pay £99.  That's potentially an extra £87 worth of stamps for free (if you go for the most expensive wood mount stamp sets). I don't as yet have all the details but will post full information as soon as I am able - hopefully tomorrow. I will also be sending out information in my newsletter. Click on the link on the left to subscribe to my newsletter so you don't miss out on any important news.

Last week was most definitely a week of birthdays. I have already shared the card that I made for Carol but here are a couple of other birthday cards that I made and gave to people.

I made this card for Diane using two of the new 2015-2017 In Colors,  Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe. The doily images come from the Petal Potpourri stamp set that is in the Spring/Summer Catalogue, and the greeting comes from the Build a Birthday stamp set which is in the new catalogue.

The second card was made for my sister Helen, and it features the Build a Birthday stamp set, the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack and the 2015-2017 In Colors. I'm sure you can guess by now what my favourite new colours are!!

I added one of the 2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accents to the stamped cake stand image and also a Basic Rhinestone to the centre to compliment the rhinestones on the flags.

At the moment I'm busy getting ready for my Catalogue Release Open House this coming Saturday, and have been making lots of projects for people to check out (they will be on my display board). I've also been making a little gift to go in each of the goody bags and of course cutting all the card stock and paper for the Make 'n' Takes. I can't share the Make 'n' Take just yet but will share some other new things tomorrow. I can't wait.

Petal Potpourri Daffodils

One of the stamp sets that I have and which I've not used that much is the Petal Potpourri stamp set. I got it out the other week and had a little fun with it.

I wanted to use just the one stamp from the set but in a couple of different colours and this is what I came up with.

I used Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist inks and card stock. The bottom layer is stamped in Hello Honey and the top layer in Tangelo Twist.

I used the co-ordinating Flower Medallion punch to punch out the flowers. No fussy cutting for me. The really distinctive flower is Tangelo Twist ink stamped onto Hello Honey card stock as I wanted to make one flower really stand out.

As you can see from the bottom photo I have used Dimensionals to stick the punched flowers over the flowers that had been stamped onto the Whisper White card stock.

I was in between two minds as to whether there needed to be some bling added. But, after putting a couple of rhinestones on, I carefully took them off again as they really didn't add anything to the card. Personally I definitely prefer it without.

The stamp set will be out again once I get back from my holiday. At the time that I am writing this, I am  in New Zealand.  But, by the time this gets posted we should however be nearing the end of our time here.

Last post for Sale-A-Bration 2015

I can't believe that it's nearly the end of March and that means that Sale-A-Bration will be over for another year.

Here's one last card that I wanted to share. It features the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Pack. The pack has 24 6" x 6" sheets (2 each of 12 designs) and this card features on the sheets. Being vellum you can colour it on the reverse-side with Stampin' Write Markers, but I simply placed it over Pool Party card stock.

I realise that there is a lot of white space on this card and I could have added a greeting, but I do like white space on a card and I'm still trying to use just one stamp set on each project! This card features the Petal Potpourri stamp set (available in Clear and Wood Mount). The stamp has a co-ordinating punch, the Flower Medallion Punch and they are available as a bundle (which means you get to save 15% if you purchase both together).

Details of the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card are as follows:

Don't forget there's still time to get that last £45.00 order in to receive a Sale-A-Bration item. Online orders need to be in by 10.50 pm on 31 March. So don't be late.

Swaps glorious swaps - Part 1 from Leadership 2015

As promised, here are some of the swaps that I receive last weekend when I attended the Stamping Up! leadership event in Orlando.

I've kept the cards in the same stamp family so that you can see various ideas for the same stamp set in the one photo.
