Craft Show Fun

A very short post today as I've spent the day at the Creative Crafts Show at Sandown, Esher. I should add that I wasn't visiting but manning the Stampin' Up! stand with my upline Natalie O'Shea.

I thought that since some of you don't live locally or are unable to come along for other reasons that would like to see what the stand looked like. So, here's a couple of photos.

The place looks empty but that's because it was the end of the day. I have to admit that I am glad to be home with my feet up.

Most of the projects that we had on display were made using products from either the Spring/Summer or Sale-A-Bration catalogues.  I'll be posting photos of some of the projects tomorrow.

Happy Friday - Crazy about You

Happy Friday to you all. It's almost the weekend and that means I have a class tonight and tomorrow morning, the first of the New Year.

This week has been spent catching up on things. All the new catalogues went in the post on Tuesday and hopefully you all now have your copy, and I've been busy photographing and writing the instructions for classes as well as making a start on projects for the Sandown Show later this month.

So, today it's just a quick card made using the Crazy About You stamp set and the co-ordinating Hello You Thinlits Dies and the new Flower Medallion punch.

I stamped the flower from the Crazy about You stamp set twice in Bermuda Bay and the swirled scallop circle image once in Crushed Curry.  The bottom flower was simply punched out using the Flower Punch Medallion punch and the top part was fussy cut from the centre of the second Bermuda Bay flower. The Crushed Curry swirled scallop circle was punched out using the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch and then I cut into the "petals" using my paper snips.

The background paper is from the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper, another one of my favourites from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue.

It looks like I'm still managing to stick to my New Year's resolution to use just one stamp set per card!!

Details of all the products used to make this card are as follows:

Spring/Summer Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration starts today

I came home yesterday to find these sitting in my post. Needless to say, I hadn't been in the door 5 minutes before they were opened and I was sitting with a cup of tea thumbing through them - the unpacking of the suitcases just had to wait! I have up until now had to look at the Spring/Summer Catalogue in electronic form but I can admit that my newly opened catalogue is already starting to look like a hedgehog with all the post it notes marking the pages.

Copies of the catalogues will be mailed out today, but when you receive yours please don't think I have sent you two Sale-A-Bration catalogues.  The Spring/Summer catalogue has a wrap around it, as you can see from the next photo.

What's more, the inside of the wrap is printed too so you can use it as paper for card fronts - that's assuming you want to carefully remove it from the catalogue.

I have added links to both catalogues in the left-hand side bar so please click on these if you can't wait to read your own copy of the catalogue. Those of you who don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like a FREE copy of each please email me your details and I will pop a copy in the post to you.

The Spring/Summer catalogue has over 40 pages of inspiration and new exciting products. There are also details of those items that were in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue that are carrying over.

The release of the Spring/Summer catalogue also marks the start of Sale-A-Bration 2015 and I am really excited about this one. I am pleased to say that Stampin' Up! listened to customers and demonstrators about the format and this year's catalogue has reverted back to a booklet. There are 19 pages of fabulous inspiration and of course details of the FREE products to choose from.

Crazy About You - another sneak peek

Well, I'm getting to the end of my sneak peeks as the Spring/Summer 2015 Catalogue goes live on 6 January (tomorrow, Tuesday).

You might be able to tell from these photos (and others posted the other day) that I am really loving the Crazy about You stamp set. I think that this is going to be one of my go to stamp sets. I'm loving the images, but the choice of greetings is great because you can mix and match to make your own greeting.

Sorry, you can't see the card too well in this one, so hopefully the next two will be better. At least you can see the stamp set though!

Good one of the inside! But you can see the layering in more detail. I used Dimensionals.

That's better

I used the triple stamping technique and stuck to ink colours from the Subtles Collection. The colours being Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz.  I also used Calypso Coral and Whisper White card stock.

Just so you know, the stamp set will be available in three formats - wood, clear mount and photopolymer. I decided to go the photopolymer route for mine so that I did not have to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the words. It's certainly lovely to have all three options for this set, but not all sets have that. The words are in fact two separate stamps but I was able to put both of them on the one block so there was no risk of miss alignment.

I have a tutorial on how to do the Triple Stamping on my Tutorials Page - at least, I did but something has gone awry with it all so I need to go fix it. I promise to do this in the next day or two. I am about to head back to the UK (I am in fact at the airport as I right this - I must be mad) and won't have internet access for the next 18 hours or so. I have no idea what's happened but the page is there but not the tutorials. Eek.

Full details about the Spring/Summer 2015 Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration will be posted early on Tuesday. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about them - hopefully all good!!

Sneak Peek No. 2 - January 2015 Class

This past week I have been spending time with my kids who I hadn't seen since the summer. We are in the USA for Christmas but that does not mean that I've not had a chance to play with some of my pre-order goodies.

One of the things that I've planned to do while I am away is design the projects for January's Regular Monthly Classes. So far I have two sorted with another two to go.

6 January 2015 sees the start of the new Spring/Summer Catalogue and also the start of Sale-A-Bration. I'll be sharing more information about Sale-A-Bration after Christmas but here's a sneak peek of two of the cards that we will be making in January. I've used products available in the new and fabulous forthcoming Spring/Summer Catalogue.

The cards feature the fabulous Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Celebrate Today Bundle (Celebrate Today stamp set and co-ordinating Balloon Framelits Dies).

If you are interested in attending either of the classes (Friday 9 Jan and Saturday 10 Jan) please drop me an email. Booking closes on 27 Dec so that I have time to order all the goodies that people will be using and taking home with them.
