Stampin’ Up! have started a Keep Stamping campaign with the aim to keep us demonstrators stamping during the present lock-down. This week they have set us a colour challenge, which I’m also sharing with you.
If you would like to join in, please visit the Oakfield Crafts Facebook page and post a picture of your project in the comments.
These are two of the projects I’ve made using the above colours (Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie).
Both cards feature the same image from the Hoot Hoot Hooray stamp set. The bottom card looks a little different because I used washi tape to mask the sentiment. This is because I didn’t want the sentiment on the images. It’s a quick and easy method – but only if you remember to remove the washi tape before stamping. Let’s just say that I made a little boo boo and had to stamp the image a fourth time!
Don’t forget to pop over to my facebook page and post a copy of your project in the comments.
Stay safe and keep stamping.

I just had to make a couple of cards using the owl image from the Hoot Hoot Hooray stamp set. You have to admit that the eyes have it when it comes to stamping the image.
The temptation was too great and I simple had to add googly eyes to the image on the second card.
Both cards have a Terracotta Tile base card. The first card has a piece of embossed (Woodland embossing folder) Crumb Cake card stock adhered to it. And, the Instructions for the second card that I like to call “the eyes have it card” are as follows:
Terracotta Tile card base – 14.9 x 21.0 cm scored and folded in half at 10.5 cm
Crumb Cake panel – 10.0 x 14.4 cm fixed to the card front using dimensionals.
Terracotta Tile double sided paper – 9.5 x 13.9 cm glued to the Crumb Cake panel.
Crumb Cake scallop square – 8.0 x 8.0 cm. Die cut using scallop square from the Stitched Shape dies.
Terracotta Tile square – 7.5 x 7.5 cm and then die cut using Square Stitched Shape die.
Thick Whisper White square – 6.0 x 6.0 cm. Stamp image and sentiment and then die cut out using Layering Square Die. Colour image using Crumb Cake Combo Stamping’ Blends and a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend.
Adhere Thick Whisper White square to the Terracotta Tile stitched square using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Glue the Terracotta Square to the scalloped Crumb Cake square and then glue the whole thing to the card front.
Whisper White inside panel – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
Stamp image in the corner and colour using Stampin’ Blends.
Glue the panel inside the card.
Googly eyes are not compulsory but they are a fun touch.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing these cards. The eyes have it when it comes to adding the googly bits. This card is being sent to my niece who has just completed her degree.

The Celebrate with Cake stamp set is a great stamp set for new stampers (see yesterday’s blog post) and you will find it in the Experience Creativity Brochure. It is also one of the stamp sets that I featured in my projects for a recent training day. I thought I’d share the cards with you today, so that you can see that by tweaking a few things, stepped up versions can be easily made.
The new scallop notecards are really cute and make a great alternative to the Whisper White notecards. The scallop cards (and envelopes) come in a pack of 20. There are 5 each of 4 different colours – Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Light Pink and Terracotta Tile.
For the stepped up versions I paired the notecards with the Garden Lane double sided paper. I only used small pieces of it to draw attention to the stamped images.
The instructions for the Terracotta Tile Celebrate with Cake card above are very simple
Whisper White card stock– 6.5 x 6.5 cm
Stamp three balloons. One each in Pear Pizzazz, Mint Macaron and Terracotta Tile. Remember to clean the stamp in between stamping each image.
Stamp sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.
Double sided paper – 3.0 x 12.6 cm
Glue the paper to the inside front edge of the card- behind the scallops. This is help the card to stand up. You may need to trim the paper once it has been glued to the card.
Double sided paper – 2.0 x 10.0 cm
Cut the paper in half to make two pieces of 2.0 x 5.0 cm
Adhere the paper to the reverse side of the stamped piece of Whisper White.
Make up card using dimensionals.
Stamp the inside of the card card and envelope as desired.
Hope you have enjoyed seeing these cards. Shop my Online Store for the products you need to make the cards by clicking on the relevant picture below.
Happy stamping.
