I know that we have more than a week to go but I thought I'd let you see what's in store for the next classes ( 17th and 18th May). The theme for the class is Vintage and I have a box and some cards planned. This card is very similar to one of the cards that we will be making in class.
I used some Soda Pop Tops and a Designer Builder Brad to make the medallion on the card. This was an idea that I'd seen on a card by Deb Valder - she has a fab video on how to make these. It was fun to make the medallions but it ruins the Big Shot clear plates. Luckily I already have a few messed up ones, so we won't be ruining any new ones in class. Hint, hint at what sort of thing you will be making!
Stampin' Up! supplies used:
Card stock : Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper : Tea for Two
Accessories : Soda Pop Tops, Designer Builder Brad, 1" and 1/2" Circle punches, Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and Crystal Effects
Don't forget to book your place for the class by emailing me and letting me know which day you want to attend.

Card Challenges
What with all this horrid snow we have been experiencing and the cancellation of yesterday's team training because of it, I thought I should do something creative. I put the creative part of my brain in gear and decided it was time to take part in another card challenge. In fact, I am hoping that this card meets the requirements of two challenges!
The first is one that I found on the Freshly Made Sketches Blog. It is, Freshly Made Sketches #69 - by Linda S
As the name implies, it is a sketch based challenge and here is the sketch that the cards are to be based on.
The second challenge I found on the SU Only Challenge blog. SU Only Challenge #62 - New Toys!
As the title implies, the challenge is to use "New Toys". I have just received my pre-order goodies from the Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue so I thought that this challenge was a good incentive to get them out and have a play.
So here is the card that I came up with and, I hope it fills the criteria for both challenges. Please feel free to leave your thoughts and comments.
The card was made using mainly products that will be available as part of Sale-A-Bration and from the forthcoming Spring/Summer Catalogue. The only "old" stamp set used came from the Lacy & Lovely set that was introduced in the current annual catalogue so it's not exactly old!
Don't forget Sale-A-Bration starts next week. You are going to love all the FREE choices that will be available to you.
